St Brigid’s Photo Group has an active membership of around 60 with a mix of ability from beginners to advanced photographers. All members enjoy taking photographs and want to improve their skills.
The aim and objective of St Brigid’s Photo Group is to help and encourage members to take better photographs by participating in club activities and using club equipment.
The club organises many events including:
- Monthly photo competitions
- Guest Speakers
- Outings and trips
- Workshops on photograph techniques and post production
- Plus a number of social events during the year.
Typically a club night runs for 2 hours with a tea / coffee break at around 9 pm.
Each event is designed to help members improve their photographs. External judges and guest speakers offer insights and tips while our experienced members offer great support to the newer members, freely giving the benefit of their experience.
Members pay an annual subscription each October. Currently the fee is €80. New members who join during the year pay a prorated subscription.
An AGM is held in September were a committee is elected. The committee meets monthly to ensure club activities run smoothly.
Club equipment includes studio lights, backdrops, softbox, laptop, projector and screen, mount cutters and many other items available to both existing and new members.
It’s a thriving club, where all enjoy the fun and enjoyment of photography.
