POTY 2022
A great night was enjoyed by all members who gathered in the Roselawn Inn to celebrate the end of a very successful year and to congratulate the winners of this year’s Photographer of the Year (POTY) awards. There was plenty of banter, chat, gossip, news, rumours, celebrations, congratulations and, of course, the usual slagging. We were also treated to Pittas, chicken wings and chips from Dominos, which went down very well after a few pints.

Our Chairman, Paul Redmond, thanked everyone in the Club for their hard work, on behalf of the Saint Brigid’s Photo Group, throughout the year gone by. Despite all the challenges that Covid threw at us, our membership actually increased during the year and we now have a number of new photographers who are learning very fast and will be a great asset to the Club in the future. Paul presented beautiful framed photographs to the winners of the POTY categories, which were as follows:
- Novice – Eileen Lambert
- Intermediate – Olivia Deane
- Advanced – Paul Redmond (Presented by John Kirwan)

Stephanie Ryan, on behalf of the new members, thanked everyone for their warm welcome to the Club and especially Mick Nolan, who heads our current Mentoring programme. Mick has done great work with his team of mentees and they have been on location taking shots in a number of local gardens and parks. The results of this work were evident in the most recent POTY, where a number of Mick’s group scored very well. Congrats to everyone involved.
